I compose the portrait and email you a pencil sketch. Nothing is painted until you're happy with the pose, framing and background.
I paint by hand

Common questions
What kind of photo works best?+
I can pretty much use any photo regardless of its degradation; that's the difference between a digital artist and a real artist. Phone photos are absolutely fine. If you're unsure, send two or three, and I'll pick the best. However, I can use multiple images and create a unique portrait that digital artists can NOT do.
Can you combine people from different photos?+
Yes. Family portraits often use separate photographs. I compose them together on one sheet and show you the sketch first.
How long does it take?+
Usually 1-2 weeks from sketch approval, depending on size and how many subjects. If you need it for a specific date, contact me and I'll confirm.
Is the frame included?+
Yes, just choose your preferred frame and mount when ordering. Delivery is free within the UK either way.
What if I'm not happy?+
I'll refund you right away. As you'll approve the sketch before painting, and I'll make reasonable adjustments to your finished portrait. If you have any questions, please contact me before placing your order.
